Sullivan Clinches Another Final Four Trip

Sullivan had to wait 48 hours, but it was worth it in the end.

The Lady Eagles punched their Final Four ticket on Monday night with a 9-1 win over St. Dominic in a Class 3 quarterfinal. The game was originally scheduled to be played on St. Dominic's field, but Saturday's downpour not only postponed it, but forced a change of venue.

Sullivan got to celebrate a trip to state on their home turf for the first time since 2011.

Savannah (19-2) awaits the Lady Eagles when they arrive in Springfield on Friday for the third time in the last four seasons. The semifinal game will be played at 2 p.m.

If Sullivan wins, they would face either Helias, Cape Notre Dame or Incarnate Word in the championship game on Saturday at 4 p.m.
