FCNB Bank-It Tourney Tips Off Nov. 30

The seventh annual FCNB Bank-It Championship tips off Monday, Nov. 30 at Sullivan High School with seven teams.

The field was reduced due to Salem being under COVID-19 quarantine.

Fan Guidelines

Sullivan has issued several spectator restrictions/guidelines for fans this winter.

During tournaments, all spectators will be required to sit in designated seating areas. For home seating, this is in the bleachers opposite from the score table. For visitors, this is the bleachers behind the score table.

Bleachers under the scoreboard will be used for general seating.

Masks will be required and sitting in family pods in the upper bleachers is highly recommended.

Students and players will be the only ones permitted to sit in the bottom bleachers and masks must be worn by all.

No cheerleaders will be allowed.

All fans are asked to exit immediately concluding each contest. Gathering in common areas after the game is discouraged.

Games

The games will be played Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Saturday, Dec. 5 will be used in case of inclement weather.

Seeding

Farmington is the No. 1 seed. The Knights did not participate in last season’s tournament, but won the championship in 2018.

They will receive a first-round bye.

Sullivan is the No. 2 seed. 

The Eagles are the defending champions and play Potosi on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Battle and Ste. Genevieve — two newcomers — will meet at 6 p.m. Battle is seeded third and Ste. Genevieve is the sixth seed.

St. James and Steelville are the fourth and fifth seeds, respectively. They open the tournament on Monday at 4:30 p.m.

The winners of the three first round games will proceed into bracket play.

The losers from those games will go into pool play to determine consolation.

Bracket

The winner of St. James-Steelville plays Farmington Thursday at 6 p.m.

The winner of Sullivan-Potosi and Battle-Ste. Genevieve meets at 7:30 p.m. that night.

The third place game will be played on Friday at 6 p.m. with the championship game to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Consolation

The three teams that lose their first round games begin pool play on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. with Team A vs. Team C. 

Team B vs. Team C plays on Thursday at 4:30 p.m..

Team A vs. Team B will be played on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

A is the highest seed and C the lowest.

Teams will be determined after the first round.
