Eagles Storm Back To Snap Streak

Sullivan needed a victory to salvage the Washington Tournament and get a spot in the consolation game, but they took a difficult path.

The Eagles fell behind after an ice cold start to Wednesday’s semifinal against the St. Louis Blue Knights, then roared back to life.

Sullivan outscored the Knights 39-20 in the second half to claim a 53-45 victory and snap a four-game losing streak.

The Eagles (6-5) moved on to the consolation game against St. Charles.

Owen Farrell paced Sullivan with 26 points, while Kolton Keen and Jordan Woodcock each had eight.

Dillon Farrell recorded four points. Josh Wiese scored three. Jacob Hatcher and Austin Orick added two.

Sullivan trailed 14-3 after one quarter. They got on track offensively in the second quarter, but couldn’t chip away at the deficit, going into the half down 25-14.

They found another gear in the third quarter and outscored the Blue Knights 21-15. Trailing 40-35 to start the final period, the Eagles clicked on both ends. They trounced the Blue Knights 18-5 and walked away with their first victory since December 19.
