Sullivan plated two runs in the first. They got on the board with Johanning’s one-out RBI single to center, then Sophia Weirich hit a sacrifice fly.

Branson pushed a bunt single and scored on Venable’s double in the second. St. Clair tried to throw out Branson at the plate, but the throw wasn’t in time, allowing Venable to reach third. She scored on a dropped third strike from Grace Halmick to push the lead to 4-0.

Ulrich led off the third with a triple to right and scored on an error by Marler.

Sullivan added four more runs in the fourth.

Halmick had an RBI single to score Branson. Halmick scored on an error by Marler and Stahl, who got on via error, scored on Ulrich’s single to left. Sullivan led 8-0.

The ball found Marler again when Johanning rolled a grounder her way that was misplayed. That allowed Ulrich to cross the plate for a 9-0 lead.
