Kenneth D. Sherman, age 85 of Bourbon, MO passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital.

Kenneth Dean was born on September 27, 1934 in Sullivan, MO to Carl and Grace (Garner) Sherman. He attended and graduated from Sullivan High School class of 1952. Kenny honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1955.

Kenny was employed by McDonald Aircraft for a time and later co-owned and operated Ken-Mar Texaco Service Station. For 23 years, Kenny worked for the former Meramec Mining company. After he retired Kenny enjoyed traveling with Mary in his R.V. He was a kind and loving father and grandfather.  Everyone who knew Kenny, knew two things about him, he was “one of a kind” and,  a Republican.

Kenny is survived by two sons, Kenneth Sherman and wife, Kisha of Shelbina, MO and Jeffrey Sherman and Cherlin Ann of Sullivan, MO; longtime companion, Mary Pineda of Bourbon, MO; eight grandchildren, Steven Sherman and wife, Kristin,  Payton and Gabrielle Sherman, Daytona, Samuel, Gabrielle, Adrien and Matthew Blaine; 4 great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kinsley, Liam and Aurora; one brother, Bob Sherman of Bourbon, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amanda; his parents, Carl and Grace (Garner) Sherman and one brother, Don Sherman.  

Graveside services were conducted at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Argo Cemetery, Sullivan, MO with full military honors.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
