Benjamin David Freie, 29 years of age, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at home in Pacific, Missouri. He was born in Rolla, Missouri on November 2, 1990 to Candace Cain Freie Brewer and William Freie. Ben was a loving father to his daughter, Alicyn and was the first best friend to his sister Brandi. He was a true and loyal friend to many. Ben was especially close to his mom as well as his grandma, Mary Ann Cain. Ben accepted Christ and was baptized as a young man while attending Meramec Valley Baptist Church.

Ben was full of energy and talent, he loved to cook and excelled at L’ecole Culinaire. He always found a way to have fun, even if it got him into trouble. He was known for getting the most out of life. He spent a lot of his free time outdoors, skateboarding, swimming in the rivers, riding bikes, and having as many adventures as he possibly could. He was constantly falling while doing tricks, getting bruised, scraped, and cut, but that never stopped him from doing what he enjoyed. The constant resilience and strength Ben showed has inspired those closest to him throughout his life. As he aged, he became a little less rowdy, but his personality was always bursting out of him. He will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends, who are dedicated to remembering his spirit, and helping those who struggle with mental health and addiction. We all love and miss you so much, “Benny boy”.

Donations can be made to the Ben’s Big Heart Foundation, which was created in Ben’s honor. The foundation will focus on helping young men who struggle with dual diagnosis (mental illness and addiction) issues.
