The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported two more drownings, continuing a deadly trend on the state’s rivers and lakes this summer.
According to the highway patrol, the first drowning came July 4 on the Jackson City Lake in Cape Girardeau County.
Kenneth R. Pair, 58, swam into the lake around 9:30 p.m.
