Sullivan Teen Among Two Injured Saturday

A Sullivan teen was one of two people to receive moderate injuries after the vehicle they were traveling in failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol the accident occurred at 8:33 p.m. Saturday night, May 22, on Lollar Branch Rd. just west of Westwood Dr.

Jeffrey D. Harbison, 24, St. Clair, was operating a 1996 Dodge 2500, westbound when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment and then a tree.

Harbison received moderate injuries and was transported by Missouri Baptist Ambulance to Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis for treatment.

A passenger, an unidentified 16-year-old for Sullivan sustained moderate injuries and was flown by Arch Air Ambulance to Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur for treatment.

Harbison was not wearing a seatbelt and the truck received total damage.
