Sullivan Police Respond To Eight Overdoses In 12 Days

The Sullivan Police Department has seen an uptick in overdoses through the first 12 days of October, with one believed to be fatal Sunday night, October 11, on Oak Street in Sullivan.
According to Sullivan Police Lt. Patrick Johnson, the department has responded to eight overdoses in the last 12 days, all believed to be heroin laced with fentanyl, a fast-acting narcotic and sedative used for its heroin-like effect and often deadly.
