Deceased Woman Found In Wooded Area In St. Clair

Update: An autopsy was performed on Wednesday and the victim was identied as Jamie Jost-Hammock.

No foul play is suspected.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office found the body of a deceased woman on Tuesday near Westwoods Road and Quiet Valley Court in St. Clair.

Sheriff Steven Pelton said this is the area where authorities were searching for a Sullivan area woman that has been missing since May 18.

Jamie Jost, 43, was last seen in that area.

Pelton said the body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy and identification.
