Anytime Fitness Second Annual Turkey Trot Registration Open

Anytime Fitness, 250 South Service Rd. will hold its second annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, beginning at 8 a.m.

Registration for the event and sponsorships are available now, according to owner Maggie West Heidbrink. The event will once again benefit Sullivan Special Olympics athletes.

“The race will once again start at the gym and will go through Sullivan downtown and back to the gym for the finish line,” said Heidbrink. “It is $25 to register now and $30 on the day of the event. We also have a virtual option available as well where they complete the run that week on their own and submit their time. Participants can register online at www.itsyourrace.com or stop by the gym for a paper registration.”

Heidbrink is excited once again to be able to donate the proceeds from the event to Sullivan Special Olympics.

“I’m so glad we are able to host the event again this year,” said Heidbrink. “We are also looking for sponsors to help off set the cost and to be able to donate as much as possible to the Special Olympics. Sponsors will have their names/logos that will be displayed on the shirts for the event. All runners that register by November 9 will be guaranteed a t-shirt.”

There will be limited extra t-shirts so participants are encouraged to register before the November 9, early $25 registration.

Heidbrink is looking to have 100 plus runners this year and 20 local sponsors to once again make it a success and ensure the event will continue for years to come.
