Eight COVID-19 Cases Reported In Last Week

Eight cases of COVID-19 were reported in Franklin County over the last week while three more people died from complications related to the disease.

Since March 23 there have been 109 cases and 11 deaths.

Two new cases were reported over the weekend.

Franklin County Presiding Commissioner Tim Brinker said there are 52 active cases. Among those, 40 are residents in skilled nursing facilities and 12 are in quarantine.

There are 46 residents who have recovered.

There have been five cases in Sullivan and three of those patients have made recoveries.

Still active are a 90-year-old male and a 47-year-old female.

There are 32 active cases in Washington where Grandview Healthcare Center has been hit hard. 

Two of the cases in Washington involve a 22-year-old female and 59-year-old female.

There are nine active cases in St. Clair and three in Pacific-Gray Summit.

Sullivan, Lonedell and Union each have two active cases, while Villa Ridge and New Haven have one.

State

Statewide, there were 6,997 cases as of Monday morning with 274 deaths. There were 167 deaths reported last Monday.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services as of Monday reported that 70,932 patients have been tested throughout the state, an increase of close to 15,000 since last week.

Washington County has eight cases and reported their first death last week. Two patients have recovered.
