Bourbon Hosting Annual Homecoming Friday
Bourbon High School will host its annual Homecoming festivities on Friday.
COVID-19 restrictions, there will not be a dance this year, but the high school will still hold the coronation.
“Due to the current circumstances of the pandemic, we felt we needed to make a prudent choice when it comes to the health of our student body,” said BHS Principal Matt Peregoy. “Dances are very difficult to conduct safely.”
The community is invited to a doubleheader of girls and boys basketball games against Viburnum.
The girls will tip off at 5 p.m. Coronation follows and the boys will play right after.
Bourbon will host a spirit week, Monday being “Howdy Partner Day”; Tuesday as “Lumberjack Day”; Wednesday as “Kick It Up Day”; Thursday as “Yee Haw Day” and Friday as “Blue and White Day.”
A pep assembly will be held Friday at 2 p.m.
King candidates this year are Ryan Stroup, Marten Thunder-Mathews, Kaden Bouse and Hunter Gould.
Queen candidates are Jaylynn Winchester, Alex Bates, Ava Smith and Morgan Louderman.
Attendants are Eme Hilse, Ariana Markham and Paris Gobin.
