    MARIAH DENNEY was selected with three other track athletes statewide to be voted in MileSplit’s Missouri Girl’s Performer of the Week poll. Track And Field Has Strong Showing In Borgia

Sullivan’s track and field teams marked down their third event of the season at the St. Francis Borgia Invitational on Tuesday, Mar. 26.

Daveah McClain, Eva Heady, Gracie Edmonston, Karlee Head, Mariah Denney, Breanna Mayberry, Ruby Daily, Melody Brauninger and McKynlee Peterson medaled for the Lady Eagles.

The girls’ team took second place out of six teams with 105 points. Helias Catholic (251) claimed first, New Haven (65) placed third, St. Clair (64) finished fourth, Wright City (55) landed fifth, and host St. Francis Borgia rounded out the list with 38 points.

Colton Brendel, Abram Denney and Ian Studdard individually medaled for the boys.

A. Denney, Ayden Duncan, Jayson Summers and Parker Whaley finished 4th in the 4x800 Meter Relay for Sullivan.

The boys’ team finished 5th out of seven teams with 48 points. Helias Catholic (286) took 1st place, North Point (115) placed 2nd, St. Francis Borgia (87) clinched 3rd, St. Clair (82) landed 4th, Wright City (15) got 6th and New Haven rounded out the rankings with 11 points.
