Sullivan Names New Head Boys Soccer Coach

Sullivan High School is pleased to announce that Brian Immekus has been selected to be the next head boys soccer coach.  Immekus also is an assistant baseball and Middle School boys basketball coach. He currently teaches as a physical education teacher at Sullivan Middle School .

Immekus graduated from Sullivan High School in the class of 1990. After graduation he went on to Southwest Missouri State University. After teaching for 15 years at St. Clair, Immekus came home to teach in Sullivan in 2015 joining the boys soccer coaching staff as an assistant. When asked about being the Head Coach at Sullivan Immekus said, “I'm very proud of the program we've built in Sullivan. I’m most excited about getting the opportunity to build on what we've started and ultimately winning the first district championship in our program's history.” Activities Director, Cody Davis said, “Coach Immekus brings a desire to continue building the boys soccer program. He has done an amazing job as the assistant and will serve well as the head coach. Coach Immekus builds great relationships with the players on top of being extremely knowledgeable in the sport.”

The Eagles will look to build on their tremendous 2021-2022 campaign which saw them go 11-10-1. They will begin 2022 action in the Lebanon Tournament on Friday, August 26.
