Sullivan Girls Surge Past Lady Bulldogs

The Sullivan Lady Eagles basketball team was the number three seeded team in the district tournament. They had to face the number six seeded St. Clair Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday at St. James to continue. The Lady Eagles defeated St. Clair in the quarterfinals, 52-28.
Kylee McReynolds led in points with 14. Dakayla McClain and Abby Peterson followed with 13 points each. Olivia Witt landed ten points. Delaney George finished with two points.
Sullivan’s defense shined with 16 steals and turnovers.
The Lady Eagles collected 39 rebounds. Peterson had the most with 14. McClain followed with eight. Molly Lohden and Hayli Venable each had four. Witt and McReynolds tallied three, and Avery Merkel finished with two.
