Sullivan Falls To St. Clair At Districts

Sullivan fell to St. Clair 3-0 on Saturday in the Class 2 District 3 Tournament at Clayton High School.

St. Clair got the best of the Lady Eagles for the third time this season.

Sullivan ended the season with a 15-9 record.

The Lady Eagles got hot towards the end of the season, winning four straight.

After falling to 5-6 on April 6, they rebounded to win 10 of their final 12 regular season games.

St. Clair advanced to play MICDS in the semifinals on Monday.

The Lady Bulldogs have not lost against Sullivan since 2017.

Kennedy Travis, one of the area’s leading scorers during the 2022 season, got St. Clair on the board in the first two minutes.

Lucy Moore added another goal later in the half.

Izzy Tiepelman landed a second half goal.

Claire Merseal assisted on two of St. Clair’s three goals. Tiepelman had the other.
