SHS Fall Sports Seasons Commence This Week

MSHSAA fall sports begin this week, with football, softball, soccer, volleyball and cross country officially commencing for Sullivan High School.
Sullivan Eagles football will kick off their season at Northwest (Cedar Hill) on Aug. 25, starting at 7 p.m. The game will take place on the Northwest High School turf field.
The Lady Eagles softball team will make their debut at the Peoples Bank Back to School Classic, which is set to be hosted at the Campbell-Chapman Sports Complex from Aug. 25-26. On the first day, Sullivan will face Linn at 10 a.m., Washington at 11:45 a.m. and Windsor at 3:15 p.m.
The boys’ soccer team will participate in the Lebanon Tournament from Aug. 25-26. Their first match will be against West Plains at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Boswell Elementary. After the tournament, they will head to Washington on Aug. 29 to play the Blue Jays at 5 p.m.
The volleyball team will host a jamboree against Potosi and Owensville on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 5 p.m. Their regular season will commence on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Windsor Classic in Imperial. Participating teams will include Windsor, Helias, Mehlville, Pacific, Alton and DeSoto. At 5 p.m. on Aug. 29, the Lady Eagles will be playing at Blair Oaks.
The cross country team will begin their season on Aug. 29 at 4:15 p.m. at the Fleet Feet XC Classic, held in Arnold City Park.
