Lockhart Brings Silver Medal Home To Sullivan Boxing

Sakora Lockhart has been a dominant force in the boxing world. She went undefeated until her fight for the gold medal on Saturday afternoon.

Since the last boxing article, Lockhart went unopposed at the Gold Gloves tournament.

Lockhart and the team traveled to Wichita, Kansas, this past week for the USA Boxing National Junior Olympics.

She won her first fight on Thursday against Abriabba Doldolea of Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

Lockhart dominated Doldolea most of the fight and won by a unanimous decision.

She fought Maliyah Scmid of Anchorage, Alaska for the gold medal. Lockhart showed tenacity and resilience as she powered through the punches of her opponent. She exchanged blows back and forth but came up short during the bout. Lockhart fell by a hard decision after an amazing battle.

Coach Robby Spear has never been more proud of Lockhart and has really enjoyed watching her grow as a person and boxer. He looks forward to continuing to watch her grow in her boxing career and as a person more and more each day.

Lockhart’s record stands at 4-1 and is ranked number two in the USA Boxing National Junior Olympics for the 132 junior division.
