Lady Eagles Successful At St. Charles Tournament

Sullivan soccer had a great week after their opening weekend at Warrenton. The Lady Eagles had a victory over Festus and tied with Lutheran St. Charles for the comeback. Molly Lohden has been on a roll with goals in both games. Sullivan defeated Festus, 3-1. They tied with Lutheran St. Charles, 2-2.

Festus

The Lady Eagles have been rolling through the early season. The two teams were evenly matched in the first half with each team scoring a goal. Sullivan seized control of the game when they plummeted two goals in the second half. They secured the win over Festus, 3-2.

Lohden, Emily Willman and Emma Brune each scored a goal in the victory. Brune shot the ball five times and Lohden followed with three. Jada Adams shot the ball twice. Tessa Newman, Addison Wagner and Lohden each shot the ball once. Adams and Newman each recorded an assist.

Maria Schatzl played all eighty minutes as the goalkeeper and saved the ball twice from the back of the net.

Lutheran St. Charles

Lutheran St. Charles took control of the game first. They scored two goals in the first half and Sullivan snapped one. The Lady Eagles sailed another goal late in the second half to tie the game. Sullivan tied with Lutheran St. Charles, 2-2.

Lohden and Cambria Pohlman each scored a goal for Sullivan. Schatzl also shot the ball. Lohden shot the ball once and Pohlman did twice.

Karen Dietzler played two minutes as the goalie and Schatzl played the rest. Schatzl recorded five saves and gave up the two goals.
