Head Coach Jordan Flora is excited for the upcoming girls basketball team. He and the team have been practicing hard and are ready to open the season against Montgomery County. The girls have been practicing hard and are working together daily.

“Definitely the girls' work ethic and hustle has stuck with me thus far,” said Coach Flora about practices. “We have high goals set for our team and the girls are pushing themselves daily to achieve those goals.”

This year the Lady Eagles have been switching things defensively, are picking up things quickly and are excited about the changes.

“We always have high expectations for our girls and this year is no different,” continued Coach Flora. “A few of those expectations include being the hardest working team on the floor each night, compete to win at practice or games daily, and play with heart and passion every game.”

Sullivan’s goals include winning the conference and district championship.

The ladies have a tough schedule ahead. The Four Rivers Conference is one of the toughest in the league. Sullivan has tough coaches and teams in their conference and will have a tough battle no matter who they are facing.

Sullivan has some of their top players from last season returning this year.

“Abby Peterson is a tough matchup for many teams,” Coach Flora said about his team. “She brings lots of energy and skill on both sides of the ball. She was our leading scorer last year and we expect big things from her this year. Dakayla McClain was another big scoring threat from the inside for us last year and had a great off season. Molly Lohden was a freshman shooter for us last year and has been working extremely hard this off season. We expect her to knock down three pointers and be a tough defender this year.”
