Hat Tricks Propel Eagles To 6-2 Win Over Blackcats
Sullivan’s boys soccer team (8-10) overpowered Fredericktown (5-8) by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Kaden Smith achieved a career-high three goals against the Blackcats. The senior also logged four shots.
Luke Herron also made a hat trick with three assists, the highest he has notched in a game so far. The sophomore fired a goal with his five shots.
Head coach Brian Immekus named Smith and Herron the Men of the Match after beating Fredericktown.
Zaiden Marler scored his third-season goal against the Blackcats. He also recorded two shots.
Aiden Lawrence also sent a strike into the net. The junior defender scored his second consecutive goal in a game.
Carsen Dudley contributed two assists, and Mason Mertz made one.
Josiah Tanner had three on-goal attempts, and Ben Tanner tried a shot.
Matthew Hamblin recorded four saves in his fifth goalie start of the season.
The two teams last clashed on Oct. 10 of last year. Sullivan crushed the Blackcats by a score of 9-2, and Cambrian Koch cooked up a hat trick of three goals.
