Future Eagles Step Up To The Plate At Baseball Camp

Sullivan High School held a youth baseball camp for its future Eagles on June 24, 26 and 28.  They trained 4th-5th graders from 3:30 to 5 p.m., then 6th-8th followed until 6:30 p.m.

Head coach Ian Whitson preached to the kids and teenagers how important it is to learn the fundamentals of the sport so that small issues do not grow into bad habits later in their careers. To enforce this, the students ran through the same drills that the high school players go through. The youth left the camp with a greater understanding of all it takes to be an efficient baseball player and an Eagle.
