Eagles Soar Over Fredericktown, 9-2
Boys’ soccer (6-12) arguably had their best performance all season in a 9-2 win over Fredericktown (3-9) on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
The Eagles sought redemption for a 9-3 loss they suffered the previous year and aimed to do so on their home turf.
Another factor that contributed to Sullivan’s victory was Cambrian Koch handing out Jolly Ranchers to anyone who assisted in scoring.
“It is just an incentive for everyone to pass the ball more. We play better as a team when we pass the ball well,” Koch explained.
Sullivan quickly established their offensive dominance with a 4-1 lead at the end of the first half as Zechariah Beagle, Cambrian Koch, Dock Thomure and Luke Herron each made it into the net.
Sullivan continued their strong play in the second half, with Luke Herron, Cambrian Koch, Eli Peregoy and Dominic Roberts adding goals for a 9-2 victory.
