District Basketball Starts This Week

Both Sullivan basketball teams are preparing for district play this week. The district tournaments for both girls and boys will be held in St. James.

The Class 4 District 3 tournament for girls basketball began on Tuesday with Sullivan playing St. Clair at 7 p.m., though results were unavailable at press time. The winner of that game will play Salem on Thursday and the championship game will be played on Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Class 4 District 3 tournament for the boys basketball team started on Monday. The Eagles are the number one seeded team and get a bye in the first round so they will play the winner of the Owensville and St. James game on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. The championship game will be on Friday at 7 p.m.
