Bristow / Richardson Medal At State

The stellar girls wrestling season came to an end this week. The Lady Eagles sent four girls to State this year, which has set the bar for the future of the program. The ladies paved paths for the new program and Head Coach Brad Landwehr couldn't be more proud.

Jade Studdard fell in two rounds for the 130 class. Studdard was defeated in the first round and lost a close decision in the second round. Official stats were unavailable at press time.

Dorie Richardson brought home a sixth place medal for the 140 class. She pinned Kierstin Allen of Reeds Spring at 5:12. Richardson fell to Clinton’s Amitria McNack in the semifinals by a close 11-10 decision. She then won by a sudden victory in the next round, but fell by a 6-2 decision to Brookfield’s Mya Sackrey in the consolation semifinals.

Ruby Daily’s exceptional season came to an end in two rounds for the 170 class. She was pinned in the first round by Blaiklee Cagle of Reeds Spring at 4:26. Daily fell by a close decision in the second round. Official stats were unavailable at press time.

Reya Bristow brought home a sixth place medal for the 235 class. She won the first round and fell in the quarterfinals. She pinned her next  opponent in the second round of the consolation. She pinned Nevada’s Drew Leer at 4:14 in the third round of the consolation. Bristow fell in the final round of the consolation to earn a sixth place medal and finish off her stellar high school wrestling career.
