Boys Soccer Shuts Down Raiders 2-0
The Eagles (2-4) led a successful raid over North County (1-4) on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Sullivan fired two strikes into the net for the victory. Josiah Tanner put the Eagles on the board, and Luke Herron drilled in their second score.
Carson Dudley contributed both assists in the 2-0 win and was named Sullivan’s Man of the Match.
Herron led the Eagles with three shots, while Dudley and Tanner each attempted a score.
Matthew Hamblin had his second start as Sullivan’s goalie and grabbed three saves.
Head coach Brian Immekus was proud of his team for improving their ball control against the Raiders. He explained, “We controlled the game throughout by maintaining possession, especially in their end of the field. The boys worked very well together, utilizing crisp, quick passes to do that. The best defense is often a possessing offense that keeps the ball away from the opponent, and we did that extremely well versus North County.”
