10U: Dace Construction Assembles A 2-1 Win Over Peoples Bank

Dace Construction edged out Peoples Bank by a score of 2-1 on Monday, June 3.

The winning team ran up the scoreboard with two runs at the bottom of the first. Noah M. smoked a line drive for a double and blasted off to home on Reid B.’s grounder. After reaching first base, Reid B. stole second and third while Preston V. was at-bat. Preston V. then ripped a fly ball to drive Reid B. in for a 2-0 lead.

With 15 at-bats, Dace Construction assembled five hits, two runs, 2 RBIs and a walk.

Reid B. seized a run, an RBI and a hit.

Noah M. was their other scorer and executed a hit at the plate.

Preston V. balled out with an RBI, a hit and a walk.

Boone A. delivered a hit.

Kaleb T. landed a hit and began on the mound for Dace Construction with eight strikeouts.

Eli P. struck out a batter when he came in for relief.

Reid B. finished the game, racking up three strikeouts.

Peoples Bank cashed in their only run at the top of the 3rd. Davis walked onto first base to start the inning. As Starr waved his bat at the plate, Davis stole second and then sneaked home.

Along with his score, Davis also grabbed a hit and a walk.

Dace, Soisson and Jolly each banked a walk.

Alu made a hit.

Starr was People Bank’s only pitcher for the day and struck out nine batters.
