On January 31, 2024, Robert T Harrison, (Bob to most), passed away. He had fought a hard battle against cancer. Bob hated going to the hospital, so when he knew the end was in sight, he wanted to go home. So his wife and children made sure to make it happen. He spent many years trying to get back home, and that's where he wanted to end his days.

Bob was born and raised in the beautiful Meramec River valley south of Bourbon. He grew up on the land that his ancestors had walked since 1817.

After nearly 4 decades, working and raising a family in Kansas City, Bob and his wife, Sharron, moved back to the valley. Bob lived the last of his days where he started them. And that's the way he wanted it.

Bob will be sorely missed by Sharron, his wife of 59 yrs 6 children, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Of course, his 2 brothers and sister, who also live on the family farm, feel the loss of their brother. Friends and acquaintances, too numerous to list, will miss him as well.

After his parents died, Bob found enjoyment in reading and studying the Bible. He nearly wore his Bible out through use. Although he was not a baptized member, he regularly attended congregation meetings via video conference, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Sullivan, MO. He was convinced that God's purpose to restore paradise to a cleansed earth was a reality waiting to happen. It's there that we are sure to see him again.

The family chose cremation as his final disposition.  There will not be any services held at this time.

Arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.
