John D. Strosnider, 47, of Bourbon, Missouri, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 15, 2021 at SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St. Louis.

John Daniel Strosnider was born March 5, 1974 in Cuba, Missouri, to Joe and Gail (Kraft) Strosnider. He grew up and attended and graduated from Bourbon High School, class of 1993.

John was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area. He was a very loved man with a kind heart who never met a stranger.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, loved float trips with his cousins, and enjoyed celebrating Christmas Eve parties with the Copling’s. He loved his pool league and his friends and family at the Town Tavern and Uncle Ernie’s, and especially enjoyed spending time with his best friend, Chris Parker.

John was also a member of the Free Will Baptist Church of Bourbon. He will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his brother, Bill Strosnider and sister-in-law, Pearl Bunton, of Bourbon, MO; four sisters: Brenda Pasch and husband, Steve, of Bourbon, MO, Pat Copling and husband, Kevin, of Cuba, MO, Paula Missey of Rolla, MO, and Ellie Quinn of West Plains, MO; two special cousins: Kenny Stotler and wife, Kimmie, of Mountain View, MO, and MaryAnn Crabtree of Alton, MO; as well as other nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Gail; and a sister, Chris Watring.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for John was from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Free Will Baptist Church of Bourbon.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan.
