Man Ejected From Motorcycle After Being Struck By Towed Unit
A man was ejected from a motorcycle after it was struck by a towed unit, sending the bike careening into the median cable barrier on July 16.
The crash occurred on Interstate 44 in Crawford County, one mile west of Bourbon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2024 Ram 1500 swerved to avoid debris in the roadway. The truck’s towed unit struck a 2019 Harley Davidson, driven by a 53-year-old Arizona man.
The motorcycle went off the left side of the road and into the cable barrier. It overturned and ejected the rider, who was not wearing a safety device.
He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
The highway patrol said the driver of the truck was a 47-year-old man from Belleville, Ill.
