Boys Golf Finds Their Swing In First Tourney
Sullivan’s boys’ golf team competed in Union on Monday, Mar. 31, for their first tournament. They played the Birch Creek Course, which has a par of 72 over 18 holes.
The Eagles and Pacific tied in seventh place with a team score of 389.
Easton Purvis led Sullivan with a 90, hitting 18 over par. The senior tied for eleventh place in the individual rankings.
Carsen Dudley followed at 94 strokes for the Eagles. Braylon Strauser put up a 102, Spencer Thomure shot a 103 and Chase Black carded a 109.
St. James clinched the top of the podium, combining for a 342.
Union and Borgia (357) were the runners-up out of eleven teams.
Waynesville (375) finished fourth, while Hillsboro (382) landed in fifth place.
School of the Osage (386) took sixth, Owensville (400) was ninth, Hermann (405) followed in tenth and St. Clair (409) rounded out the rankings.
