Leasburg Man Charged With Multiple Counts Of Child Molestation

Update: Ellis was captured April 8.

Crawford County Sheriff Darin Layman said the arrest was the result of Operation Relentless Pursuit.

A Leasburg man has been charged with multiple sex crimes against juveniles. 

Steven J. Ellis, born 1980, was charged April 1 with nine counts of molesting a child and one count of statutory sodomy.

The investigation into Ellis began in January 2024. Authorities interviewed two victims.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
