Man Charged With Failing To Update Offender Registry

A Cuba man has been charged with failing to update his address and job on the sex offender registry.

Oval L. Phares, 77, faces two counts of failure to register as a sex offender.

Phares was convicted of first-degree sexual misconduct in 2013.

The probable cause statement alleges that Phares had not registered since Dec. 15, 2023 and needed to update on Dec. 11, 2024.

A warrant was issued for Phares’ arrest on Feb. 21.
