Robertsville Man Charged After High-Speed Chase In Franklin County
A Robertsville man is facing multiple charges after leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase in Franklin County on Dec. 1.
Dillon Goodman, 30, has been charged with aggravated fleeing a stop or detention and unlawful possession of a firearm. He also faces a misdemeanor for driving without a valid license, which expired in 2021.
According to the probable cause statement, a deputy attempted to stop Goodman, who was driving a Ford truck on East Gravois Avenue. When the deputy activated emergency lights and sirens, Goodman quickly turned onto Highway PP and accelerated, allegedly fleeing at high speeds.
During the pursuit, Goodman reportedly passed another vehicle by driving in the opposite lane, creating a substantial risk of a collision. The truck, which lacked visible license plates, was identified by surveillance footage from a nearby gas station taken shortly before the chase.
Goodman was later arrested and admitted to being the person in the surveillance photo but denied fleeing from law enforcement. Officials noted Goodman’s prior history of resisting law enforcement and deemed him a flight risk.
Goodman remains in custody.
