Florida Man Charged In Fatal Hit-And-Run

Authorities have identified the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred Monday, November 25, 2024, on Interstate 44. The incident, which took place at approximately 1:32 p.m. near mile marker 225, claimed the life of a 60-year-old Arcadia man.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a maroon International truck with a white Vanguard trailer veered off the roadway while traveling eastbound. The truck struck the pedestrian, who was repairing a tire on the shoulder, and then collided with the victim’s green Ford F250 before fleeing the scene. The pedestrian died at the scene from the impact.

Investigators identified the driver as Etem Missark of Orlando, Florida. Surveillance photos and video footage of the crash, along with information from EGO Express Inc.—the owner of the trailer—helped authorities confirm Missark’s identity.

His last location was in Pennsylvania
