Athlete of the Week: Seth Valley
This week, I am eager to bring you the Sullivan High School Athlete of the Week: Seth Valley. Valley has more than earned this accolade due to his consistent prestigious performances each game.
Valley has been a tri-athlete since his freshman year of high school and has continued to be one of the many prominent faces of SHS athletics.
Valley’s high school football career has been full of exciting highlights, demonstrating his work ethic and devotion to the game. Valley has exceeded expectations by being a great overall receiver, making difficult plays that have greatly influenced the outcomes of games.
When interviewed, there were a few questions that I had to get to know him as an athlete and person better.
First, Valley was asked, “How has Sullivan’s football program exceeded expectations in your personal experience?” Valley responded, “My favorite part about the program is the coaching. The coaches are always willing to help. Not just to improve us as football players but as teammates and people in general. They always have our backs and want to develop our character farther, not just our game.”
Second, Valley was asked, “What is your motivation to devote so much time into football?” He stated, “I fell in love with the game at a young age. I wanted to be the best that I could possibly be. Using discipline to better myself in football has also allowed me to apply this to other aspects of my life, and I constantly strive to improve,” said Valley.
