Lady Eagles Volleyball Fights In Rolla Tourney

Sullivan’s volleyball team (10-11-1) split four games at the Rolla Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 5. They went 1-2-1 in their final regular-season tournament.

The Lady Eagles first fell to Capital City in two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-10.

They rebounded over Eminence in a two-set sweep (25-13, 25-18). 

Sullivan finished pool play in a draw against Logan-Rogersville. They lost 25-23 in the first set but won 25-18 in the second. 

The Lady Eagles dropped their final match of the day to Helias. Sullivan survived the first set by a score of 25-23. They then lost their next two, falling 25-10 and 25-18. 

Hayden Webb started her first career varsity games at Rolla. The freshman delivered 35 attacks, 9 points, seven kills, two blocks and an assist. 

Ava Blankenship led Sullivan with 82 attacks, 36 points, 31 kills and five blocks.

Karlee Head had a team-high 40 assists. She also racked up 32 attacks, 7 points, five kills, an ace and a block.

Sydney Montee stacked up 22 attacks, 6 points, three aces, two kills, two assists and a block.

Stevi Saling landed 51 attacks, 20 points, 17 kills, two blocks and an ace.

Allie Brune tallied 62 attacks, 19 points, 15 kills, three aces and a block.

Ava Todd led with four aces. She also notched 22 assists and four attacks.

Chloe Carson recorded five attacks and three assists.

Andi Giebler collected three attacks and two assists.

Kelsie Hansel spiked 27 attacks and three kills.

Trinity Midyett assisted a score.
