Crawford County Receives Clean Audit Of ARPA Funds
Crawford County has received a clean audit on its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
William Keepers LLC, an accountant group based in Columbia and Jefferson City, has notified commissioners that Crawford County “complied, in all material respects, with the specified requirements referenced…during the years ended Dec. 31, 2023 and 2022.”
The funds were part of the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CSLFR) — a $350 billion part of ARPA to support the response and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
County commissioners awarded project funding to the cities of Bourbon, Cuba, Steelville and village of Leasburg.
The cities each received $300,000.
The village of Leasburg received around $360,000.
The Bourbon Fire Protection District received $108,000.
Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital received $300,000.
All Aboard Learning Center in Cuba received $60,000.
The largest recipient was Practical POCUS. The business focusing on point-of-care ultrasound received $300,000 for rehabbing a building in Cuba and $240,000 to provide one year of training for medical professionals.
