Fatal Motorcycle Crash Claims Life Of St. Louis Man On Highway 19

A fatal crash Sept. 20 claimed the life of a St. Louis man on Highway 19 in Crawford County.
Donald R. Chilton, 78, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Friday morning.
The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. on Highway 19, approximately two miles south of Steelville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Chilton was driving a 2015 BMW motorcycle when the bike veered off the left side of the roadway. It struck a sign and overturned.
This crash marks Troop I’s second fatality crash for September and 26th fatality for 2024.
