Three Seriously Injured In Franklin County Crash
Three people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 100 and Highway T in Franklin County on the afternoon of September 19, 2024. The accident occurred at 2:25 p.m. when a 2016 Nissan Murano, driven by Linda A. Clark, 68, of Labadie, failed to yield to a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The front of the Chevrolet, driven by Quinton J. Elswick, 25, of Sullivan, collided with the front passenger side of Clark's vehicle.
After the impact, Clark's Nissan came to rest blocking the eastbound lane of Highway 100, while Elswick’s vehicle veered off the road, traveled down an embankment, and struck a tree.
Both drivers and a passenger in Elswick's vehicle, Rachel Rowden, 27, of Sullivan, sustained serious injuries. All three were transported to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.
The highway patrol said all the occupants were wearing seat belts.
