Softball Spends Weekend At The Ozarks

The Lady Eagles (6-6) capped off their busy week with a tournament held by Ballparks National (Lake of the Ozarks). From Sept. 13 to 14, they played four games at MHQ Financial Field.

Sullivan opened with a 15-0 crushing over Crocker. They showed no mercy against the Lady Lions and finished the game after four innings.

The Lady Eagles dropped their second contest on Friday, falling 3-0 to Camdenton.

Sullivan lost both of its matches on Saturday. They were shut out 3-0 against Staley and fell 3-1 to Southern Boone. 

Batting Stats

Molly Lohden led the Lady Eagles with five hits at the tournament. She also logged two runs, an RBI and a walk.

Kynlee Peterson scored a team-best three runs. She also had four hits, 3 RBIs and a walk.

Dorie Richardson racked up four hits, 3 RBIs and a run.

Evvie Blankenship brought in 2 hits, two walks, a run and an RBI.

Evelyn Harris had two runs, two walks, an RBI and a hit.

Rae Corwin grabbed two runs, two walks and a hit.

Ava Declue tallied 2 RBIs, a hit and a walk.

Elli Crump notched two runs and one hit.

Madison Ortner drove in an RBI and took a walk.

Mia Pridemore punched it home and landed a hit.

Carli McCreary recorded two hits and one walk.

Kennedi Roach earned a walk.

Pitching Stats

Declue pitched the most for Sullivan, striking out six batters in 11.1 innings. She threw against Camdenton and Staley, then a complete game to Southern Boone.

Blankenship was on the mound for 5.3 innings. She pounded six strikeouts against Camdenton and Staley.

Ortner and Pridemore split pitching duties in Sullivan’s sweeping over Crocker. Ortner hurled two strikeouts, and Pridemore had one.
