Boast, Pfeiffer Prevail In Crawford County Commission Primary

Jared Boast, the incumbent District 2 commissioner in Crawford County, prevailed in a tight three-way race Tuesday night.

Boast fended off challenges from former District 2 employees Randy Chandler and David Gargus in the Republican primary to almost certainly get another four years. Boast will be unopposed in November.

Boast received 37 percent of the vote. Chandler received 31 percent and Gargus 30 percent.

In District 1, Mark Pfeiffer defeated Chad Barton in a race to succeed Rob Cummings as District 1 commissioner. 

Cummings opted not to run after two terms.

Pfeiffer received 59 percent of the vote.

He will be unopposed in November.
