Motorcyclist Ejected In Crash On I-44

A St. Clair man had serious injuries on July 30 when he was ejected from his motorcycle on Interstate 44 in Franklin County.
John A. Benetin, 46, was driving a 2014 Yamaha V-Star 1300 at the 252 mile marker.
Benetin was traveling too fast for the wet and rainy conditions. The bike began sliding and overturned. It traveled off the right side of the road and ejected Benetin, who was not wearing a safety device.
Benetin was taken to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
