FCSO Seizes Nearly 200 Suspected Fentanyl Capsules
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said it seized nearly 200 suspected capsules of fentanyl during a traffic stop July 11.
Two people were arrested. Charges are pending.
Sheriff Steven Pelton said a deputy on patrol pulled over a vehicle driving erratically at the 235 mile marker around 2 a.m.
The suspects were from Springfield, Mo., and the deputy “believed there was criminal behavior.”
A large bag of capsules were located in the center console during a search of the vehicle.
The pills were sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Laboratory for analysis.
