Deputies Searching For Suspect Who Fled Stolen Vehicle

Crawford County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man that fled from a stolen vehicle May 16.

Deputies assisted the Sullivan Police Department regarding a subject that fled from a stolen vehicle on Highway D south of Sappington Bridge Rd. 

The suspect has been identified as Jeremy Klein, 20, and was last seen running into the woodline in the 2000 block of Highway D. An extensive search of the area was conducted with assistance from Franklin County's Canine Division without success. 

Klein is also a person of interest in other stolen vehicle cases in the area. It is believed he was involved in a pursuit that our agency initiated on May 15, where the vehicle was wrecked and suspects fled from the vehicle. 

One suspect was taken into custody at the scene and had an active warrant for their arrest. Additional charges are pending for the incident.
