Eagles Fall Over Pacific In 3-2 Conference Loss
Pacific took the Four Rivers title with a 3-2 win over Sullivan on Tuesday, Apr. 30.
The Eagles were just an inch away from knocking down the undefeated conference champions from the top of their podium. In the bottom of the 7th, with everything on the line and two outs on the board, Seth Valley raced home to try to tie it 3-3. The Indians barely got Valley out, and Sullivan remained at 3rd on the conference rankings.
Against Pacific, the Eagles strung up six hits, two RBIs and a walk with 27 batting appearances.
Alex Toews scored Sullivan’s two runs and also made a hit.
Drake Gawer led his team with two hits.
Valley tallied an RBI, a hit and a walk.
Gavin Schmidt drove in an RBI.
Nolan Ulrich and Lucas Parsons both grabbed a hit.
Gawer started on the mound for the Eagles and powered six strikeouts in his three innings. He gave up four hits, three walks and an earned run to a tough Pacific squad.
Koch finished the game and cooked up four strikeouts, allowing no earned runs and six hits.
