Crawford County Sheriff’s Office Updates List Of Most Wanted
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office last week updated its list of most wanted suspects, some of whom have been at-large for more than a decade.
One of the subjects is already incarcerated at the Fulton Reception & Diagnostic Center.
Here is the list:
Carl D. Smith, Sullivan: Smith is wanted for first-degree robbery and receiving stolen property. Smith did not show up to court on Feb. 29 and a warrant for his arrest followed.
Tyrone Thunder-Mathews, Cuba: Thunder-Mathews is wanted on various probation violations.
Melissa O’Brien, Sullivan: O’Brien is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, drug possession, theft, fourth-degree assault and misdemeanor in August 2021. She didn’t show up in June 2023 and a warrant followed.
Marion E. Merritt, Bourbon: Merritt is wanted for first-degree assault — special victim from 2018. A warrant was issued for his arrest June 14, 2019.
Robert B. Hector, High Ridge: Hector is wanted for five counts of forgery from 2009. A warrant for his arrest has been outstanding since 2010.
Chance Fields, Bourbon: Fields received probation for first-degree assault in 2017. The court issued a warrant for his arrest Nov. 8, 2023.
Jody Barton, Bourbon: Barton is wanted for financial exploitation of an elderly or disabled person in 2014. A warrant was issued for his arrest Nov. 8, 2023.
Matthew Garms, Steelville: Garms is currently incarcerated at the Fulton Reception & Diagonstic Center through the Missouri Department of Corrections. He has been there since November, according to online records.
