St. James Man Killed In Crash On I-44

A St. James man was killed in a crash Tuesday night when he drove into a stationary tractor trailer on Interstate 44 in Crawford County.

James M. Hendrickson, 44, was ejected from his 2003 Ford F-150 around 8:10 p.m. at the 221 mile marker between Bourbon and Sullivan.

Hendrickson drove off the road and struck the rear of a 2024 International LT624, which was sitting on the shoulder.

Hendrickson was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 

It is unknown whether he was wearing a safety device.
