Vehicle Strikes Guardrail, Cables In I-44 Crash

A Sullivan woman had serious injuries Jan. 6 in a crash on Interstate 44 in Crawford County.
Rebecca Coats, 45, was rushed to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.
Coats, who was wearing a seat belt, went off the right side of the road at the 215 mile marker. The vehicle struck the guardrail, cross the center line, went off the left side of the road and collided with the median cable barriers.
